Second Press Operator

General:

Perform manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance, and operation of the press. Responsible for press operation and crew management. This position also develops Operational knowledge of the press and all the associated equipment.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must have working knowledge all safety procedures on assigned equipment, crew direction and training, as well as lock out tag out procedures.
• Review all job paper work, organize same, assign each crew member their relevant paperwork for each job daily.
• Assist in set up of press for each Job on Makeready.
•  Responsible for maintaining Registration for each job.
• Responsible for Color matching to proofs.
•  Responsible for having all other relevant departments to any job sign off to ensure the final product is correct.
• Work with all relevant departments to ensure proper packing for each format/job.
• Train crew in set and makeready of the Press and associated equipment.
•  Perform maintenance on Press and all associated equipment.
• Assist all other crew positions as necessary.
• Other tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-2 years related experience working on a web press environment a must.
•  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and stoop for up to 12 hours
• M110; Baker G14; Prosper S/10; Prosper web press; experience a plus
• Specialty Web Press inline finishing converting; Hybrid Digital 4 color; Variable inline ink jet a plus
• This position requires highly motivated individuals with excellent work ethic, can do attitude and the will to learn
